“Dressing up” can mean different things for different people. Students should wear what they feel is the best fit for them. These clothes should reflect their own tastes and personality.

Every year girls go back to school shopping with their moms or best friends and they worry that what they buy won’t be in style. Sometimes “high” fashion isn’t always affordable for the average teenage girl.
This school year I personally didn’t have enough money to go back to school shopping the way I usually do. It’s tough, and that feeling of being judged hurts a person’s self-esteem, especially a girl. For girls, it’s a competition.
Not everything that you see in magazines or on TV is what someone would call fashionable. Any clothing can be “in style” if the person wearing it believes that it is. And while that may sound cliché and cheesy, it is the truth.
Fashion is different for every person and that’s the way it should be. My definition of fashion is this: if people don’t normally see it, then you’re being unique by wearing it, and that’s the main goal.
Fashion and style are about loving yourself and using clothes as a way to enhance that. Style opens up many doors to jobs and first impressions. Although it seems harsh to judge someone by what they wear, everyone does. Your own style tells people how you will act and if you are organized and neat.
Show people who you are– a creative, fun-loving person.
First thing’s first: know what clothes make you look good and what colors compliment your skin tone. Also know the reason why you are changing your style.
These reasons are endless. A boy, your friends, school, work, social media, parents. Anything and everything can motivate someone to ‘dress up’.
‘Dressing up’ is not a term that should be in someone’s vocabulary. If you like what you’re wearing and like how it fits, then you’ve dressed up. Love your style, love yourself and everything else will seem like a piece of cake.
